Job Title: Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer
Reports to: NOC Manager
Location: South Lincolnshire
Our Network operation Centre (NOC) is fundamental to the success of our business, ensuring the Network is functioning as designed and that our customers are receiving the first-class service they deserve.
Answer 2nd line support calls in a professional manner, ensuring customer needs are the priority and faults are managed to a satisfactory conclusion.
Ensure all contacts and touch points are detailed accurately on the CRM in line with SLA's and departmental process.
Liaising with other departments and 3rd party suppliers ensuring faults are managed to resolution.
Manage customer expectations at all times ensuring they are kept fully up to date on the progress of the issue in plain jargon free speech.
Where necessary dispatch the appropriate engineering resource to site giving clear guidance on the issues as reported.
Monitor the network to ensure any major outages are handled in line with process and at the earliest opportunity.
Escalate to senior managers as per departmental process as and when SLA's are at risk
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience of working in a NOC is essential
Attention to detail is a prerequisite
Outstanding customer service skills
Flexible, Agile and able to work under your own initiative
Ability to communicate at all levels in both oral and written using concise English
Problem solver who thrives on a challenge and looks for resolutions
Fully PC literate with a strong network background preferably in Fibre.
Some network qualifications would be a distinct advantage
