We’re looking for an experienced Building Services Manager with a mechanical bias to join a well-established Tier 2 main contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects in Oxford.This role offers the ideal balance of office-based work and hands-on site involvement, allowing you to focus on validating tenders, value engineering, evaluating M&E subcontractors, and reviewing technical submittals, while spending around 30% of your time on-site overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities:
- Review, prepare, and check technical submittals.
- Validate tenders and support value engineering exercises.
- Evaluate M&E subcontractors and manage supply chain compliance.
- Review on-site technical submittals and oversee install, testing, and commissioning.
- Produce reports and ensure commercial and technical risks are mitigated.
- Proven experience as a Building Services Manager on commercial projects.
- Strong mechanical engineering / building services background.
- Excellent knowledge of M&E systems, subcontractor management, and tender evaluation.
- Ability to split time between office-based management and site presence.
- Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
