Contract Length: 4 weeks
Start Date: 2 November
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Salary: £250 per day
Project Value: £200,000
Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee a 4-week refurbishment project in Watford.
This is a practical, site-based role suited to someone who is comfortable leading from the front and getting involved with the works, rather than purely managing from an office.
The project will involve a range of minor refurbishment and finishing works, including demolition, flooring, wet wall installation, decoration, furniture movements and waste removal.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractors
- Coordinate minor demolition and strip-out works
- Oversee flooring and finishing works
- Supervise wet wall installation
- Manage decoration and making-good works
- Coordinate furniture movements and positioning
- Organise waste removal and maintain a clean, safe site
- Ensure works are completed to the required programme and standard
- Manage deliveries, materials and site logistics
- Maintain site health & safety standards
- Liaise with the project team and subcontractors
- Be hands-on and assist with practical site requirements where necessary
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Working Supervisor, Site Manager or similar
- Strong refurbishment / fit-out background
- Experience with strip-out, demolition and finishing works
- Comfortable supervising multiple trades
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Good understanding of site health & safety
- Able to start on 2 November and commit to the full 4-week project
- CSCS required
- SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid desirable
- Must be comfortable working in a hands-on environment
