  • Regularly update live programmes using information provided by project and site teams
  • Produce programme revisions, short-term look-ahead schedules, progress updates and planning reports
  • Monitor project performance against agreed milestones and completion dates
  • Review programme logic, dependencies, critical-path activities and available float
  • Identify programme risks, potential delays and areas that may affect project delivery
  • Assess the impact of changes, design developments, procurement issues and other project events on the overall programme
  • Support the preparation and management of programme change-control information
  • Assist with programme-related contractual submissions, including extension-of-time and delay documentation
  • Provide planning input during tender and pre-construction activities
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams, Design teams, subcontractors and clients
  • Support project teams in developing practical construction sequences and achievable delivery strategies
  • Review and challenge programme information to ensure it is robust, realistic and aligned with project requirements
  • Provide clear programme analysis and recommendations to support informed project decision-making
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of planning processes, systems and reporting standards
  • Maintain accurate programme records, revisions and supporting documentation throughout the project lifecycle

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex programme information
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • The ability to work effectively with operational teams, project managers, engineers, subcontractors and clients
  • A proactive and detail-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge programme assumptions where required

  • A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Relevant construction planning or project-controls qualifications would be advantageous
