Freelance Site Manager - Office Fit-Out (Manchester)

Location: Manchester
Day Rate: £280 - £290 (CIS / Ltd)
Duration: Start date 11th May 2026 - 4 months (through to August 2026)

The Project

We are recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to deliver a high-spec CAT B commercial office fit-out in Manchester. The project is a 20,000 sq ft, 19-week programme within a flagship sustainable building, designed to create a modern, flexible, and collaborative workspace.

The scheme includes:

• High-end office fit-out works


• Breakout areas, meeting rooms & client spaces


• Sustainable materials and finishes


• Complex M&E coordination within a live commercial environment

Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations from start to completion


• Manage subcontractors, programme, and site logistics


• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to high quality


• Coordinate trades and manage sequencing of fit-out packages


• Maintain site records, RAMS, and health & safety compliance


• Liaise with project managers, clients, and design teams

Requirements (ESSENTIAL)

• SMSTS


• First Aid at Work


• Fire Warden / Fire Marshal


• Asbestos Awareness


• Proven experience delivering CAT A / CAT B office fit-outs


• Strong track record on commercial interior projects
