Our client is a major player in the D&B fit out space specialising in the transformation of workplaces and educational spaces. They have delivered thousands of projects and built up extensive revenue through their thorough design, fit?out, refurbishment, and construction services. With a staff of around 200 experts, they position themselves as a partner in creating environments that foster productivity, innovation, wellbeing, and learning. Due to an increasing pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint a Project Director (Sales) to join their team.

Specific Responsibilities Team Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, motivated, and cohesive team.

  • Conduct regular 1:1s and appraisals to enhance individual and team performance.

  • Set clear deliverables, hold weekly team meetings, and uphold quality standards.

Winning New Business
  • Attend and prepare for all client meetings with thorough research and coordination with Business Development.

  • Assess project opportunities and determine where to allocate resources.

  • Lead pre-tender discussions, define win strategies, and act as central client contact.

  • Ensure high-quality, tailored pitch materials aligned with client needs.

  • Oversee smooth transition from project win to contract, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and margin goals.

  • Maintain client engagement throughout delivery to ensure a positive experience.

Business Strategy & Operations
  • Lead by example in work ethic, performance, and consistency.

  • Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, processes, and staffing.

  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial agents, consultants, and project managers.

  • Monitor sales pipeline accuracy and coordinate with the Business Development team.

  • Ensure quarterly targets and Gross Profit margins are consistently met.

  • Comply with company policies (anti-bribery, quality, environment, H&S).

Skills & Experience Required
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven leadership and team management experience.

  • Commercially astute with understanding of business policies and operations.

  • Resilient under pressure; sets a high-performance benchmark.

  • Bachelor's degree (business-related); MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • 10 years in commercial office fit-out sales or related industry.
