Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £6 million industrial warehouse development in Newmarket (CB8).

The ideal candidate shall have experience in the sectors of work we operate in, delivering schemes of up to £20 million in value, and an excellent managerial background with a proven track record.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the life-cycle of your project from delivery through to aftercare. As a key communicator, you will be responsible for ensuring the client's requirements are achieved at all times, coordinating with the project team to ensure a successful and hassle-free project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a £6 million industrial warehouse project.


• Manage the project programme, ensuring milestones and completion targets are met.


• Oversee site operations, including health & safety, quality control, and subcontractor performance.


• Chair site meetings with subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders.


• Collaborate with design, commercial, and client teams to manage costs, variations, and risks.


• Ensure compliance with construction regulations, company policies, and quality standards.


• Lead, motivate, and mentor the site management team.


• Manage procurement schedules, subcontractor orders, and material deliveries.


• Monitor and control project budgets, including reporting on costs and value.


• Maintain strong communication with the client to ensure requirements are consistently met.


• Take responsibility for post-delivery aftercare and client satisfaction.

Requirements / Relevant Experience

• Proven experience on industrial and fit-out projects, with a strong delivery record.


• Experience delivering projects up to £20 million in value.


• Longevity of service with previous employer(s) is preferred.


• Excellent managerial skills with a proven track record of leading project teams successfully.

Qualifications & Skills

• Degree or Higher Education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.


• SMSTS or equivalent.


• CSCS Card.


• First Aid Training.


• Proficient IT skills.


• Excellent management, leadership, and communication skills.


• Ability to coordinate project teams and maintain high-quality delivery standards.
