Day Rate: £350-£400 per day (depending on experience)
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on a £25m distribution centre project in Sheffield. This is a 48-week programme offering the chance to play a key role in the successful delivery of a major industrial development from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out works in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Managing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information.
- Ensuring works are carried out to the required quality standards.
- Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager, subcontractors and design team.
- Carrying out site surveys and checking line and level.
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation and inspection records.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Monitoring progress and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of site activities.
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on industrial, logistics, warehouse or distribution centre projects.
- Strong setting out experience using Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with QA procedures and as-built documentation.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
- First Aid at Work (desirable).
