Location: Raynes Park / Wimbledon, South West London
Contract Type: Temp-to-Perm (Permanent ideally)
Salary / Day Rate: £300 - £350 per day or £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
Reporting To: Construction Director / Senior Project Manager

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Manager to lead a key industrial and commercial construction project in South West London. This is initially a temp-to-perm role with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will manage a busy, high-profile site and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience delivering medium to large-scale industrial and commercial schemes, including warehouses, office refurbishments, light industrial units, and mixed-use developments. You will work in a collaborative team environment, liaising with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure timely delivery.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor project programmes, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, labour logs, and progress updates.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure requirements are met.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage on-site logistics, materials, and resources efficiently.

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company procedures.

  
  


• 
  

  Proactively identify and resolve site issues to maintain smooth operations.

  
  

Requirements / Experience

• 
  

  Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial and commercial construction projects in London / South East.

  
  


• 
  

  Industrial and commercial construction experience is essential.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing medium to large-scale developments.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong leadership and team management skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of H&S, CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant construction regulations.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities on-site.

  
  

Industry Background / Relevant Project Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience in projects such as:

  Construction of industrial and warehouse units, including fit-out and external works.

  Demolition and redevelopment of commercial buildings for office, light industrial, or mixed-use purposes.

  Multi-storey industrial facilities, including storage, distribution, or logistics centres.

  Projects delivering high-quality finishes, EPC ratings, and BREEAM compliance.
