The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team on a high-profile commercial office fit-out project

This role is ideal for someone with 1-3 years' post-graduate experience who is looking to develop within a fast-paced, high-spec fit-out environment, gaining hands-on exposure across the full commercial lifecycle of projects.

You will be working closely with and reporting directly to a Project Quantity Surveyor, gaining real responsibility from day one across procurement, cost management, and subcontractor packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Project QS in the day-to-day commercial management of the project


• Assisting with procurement of subcontract packages, including issuing enquiries, analysing returns, and preparing comparisons


• Contributing to the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and take-offs


• Assisting with subcontractor negotiations and appointments


• Supporting the management of variations, change control, and valuations


• Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts


• Reviewing and processing subcontractor applications and payments


• Maintaining accurate commercial records and documentation


• Liaising with internal teams, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are met


• Supporting the agreement of final accounts

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline


• 1-3 years' post-graduate experience in a Quantity Surveying role


• Experience within construction, interiors, or fit-out projects is advantageous


• Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration


• Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills


• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment


• Proactive, driven, and eager to learn and develop
